Sunday worship
Sunday worship is at the heart of parish life. Every Sunday we hold three gatherings:
- Youth service - 7:45 AM to 8:45 AM. Scripture, song, and teaching for the youth of the parish.
- First service - 8:45 AM to 11:00 AM. Full congregational liturgy, readings, and sermon.
- Second service - 11:00 AM to 1:15 PM. Worship with choir and preaching for the rest of the congregation.
Holy Communion, baptisms and confirmations follow PCEA practice, under the Session and the parish minister.
Christian education
Children, youth and adults are taught the Christian faith through Sunday school, Bible study and confirmation classes.
Youth ministry
The parish youth meet for the early Sunday service and for fellowship through the week.
Women’s Guild
The Presbyterian Women’s Guild prays, visits, and organises practical help for families in the districts.
Presbyterian Church Men (PCM)
PCM gathers the men of the parish for prayer and for the work of the congregation. Members take part in visitation and in their districts.
Choir and music
Choir and musicians lead singing in Sunday worship and at special services.
Pastoral care and districts
The congregation is organised in districts under elders. The minister and elders visit the sick, walk with bereaved families, prepare couples for marriage, and meet those who wish to join the church.
Community service
We share PCEA’s call to serve: evangelism, education, care for people in need, and neighbourly help in Buruburu. Appeals and projects are announced in worship and by email. To offer help or to ask for support, write to the Session Clerk.
How to take part
Come to a Sunday service. To join a fellowship, enrol a child in Sunday school, or talk about membership, use the membership page or email sessionclerk@pceaburu.org.
